One of the earlier innovative projects by O.M.G. Italy is the CAIMANO C.M.I., a dorsal mounted rebreather essentially made to be used on underwater mine sweeping operations and for operations that require the diver to have hands free. Also used by the Driver of Diver Deliver Vehicles.
The apparatus boasts a reduced magnetic content thanks to the use of special materials and an aluminium cylinder which has a large capacity.
The innovative system of gas supply, both manual and automatic, allows the operator to cope with operative situation in good time. Moreover, the lack of bulky objects in the front allows for greater ease of movement. The presence of two different sized breathing bags ensures the ease of breathing necessary to operate comfortably during long-lasting diving.
