The Mk4 CSC, is designed and built with non-magnetic materials according to 2897 STANAG Standards and is the newest addition to the OMG line of rebreathers made possible by extensive know-how in the field of submarine activities - both offensive and defensive.
This closed and semi-closed circuit apparatus enables the operator (by a simple maneuver that can be effected also under water) to breathe pure oxygen or nitrox.
The Mk4 CSC is fitted with a soft shield housing, a new design high-capacity breathing bag (made of non-toxic soft material) ensuring great ease of breathing required to comfortably operate under water for long periods of time.
When the system is in a closed-circuit (pure oxygen mode) the gas can be dispensed both automatically and manually. In this case the oxygen admission to the plenum bag is done by the operator by activating a by-pass valve. This solution proves to be very useful when making tactical approaches to targets, since it allows the swimmer to adjust buoyancy needed for going afloat or carrying out emergency maneuvers.
